Detours Along The Way

Many people beat themselves up over not reaching their goals or destination in a certain time frame. This fast food world would have you believe that if you haven’t gotten to your goal that you’ve somehow failed. The thing is that life happens! Sometimes the focus is on keeping a roof over your head or maybe making sure your able to pay your bills. That doesn’t mean that you’ve abandoned your dreams or goals.

Many people still take baby steps at getting their dreams or goals accomplished. It is by planting those seeds that we finally get to the harvest season. It’s very much like priming a pump to bring up water. It’s all those small steps that will get us to our final destination. Sometimes, it’s about attending those networking events. It allows us to learn about more resources around us. Who can help or teach us about skills we will need to learn to make our goals more achievable. What can we farm out, or who can we exchange services with to help us with our journey to our goal.

These detours are not wasted time. They are paths that will help us build toward the next step we need to take on our journey to our final destination. Those side jobs might be helping us to network and build capital for the next phase in our businesses. Sometimes our skills are shared with those around us as a way to balance out our journey. Think of it as a test run to learn about your market place, your future customer. What are those needs? How to build your product better? How to price point it. Being able to see what a competitor brings to the table to allow you to make changes or rethink a product or service.

Meeting people who you wouldn’t normally meet as if by chance; acquiring knowledge that will help you with financial decisions and business models. This isn’t to say you couldn’t have learned it on your own, but the set backs are now minimal compared to what they might have been. It might also be about timing. Sometimes what we have to offer isn’t at the right time. Everything is very similar to planting a crop. There are seasons to everything, especially small businesses. Some small businesses have down times that need to be accounted for. These down times will prevent a steady income if not planned for properly. Next time your down on yourself, remember to look back at how far you’ve come. That also means not always surrounding yourself with people who’ve always played it safe by only working for others.

Apprenticeships in that past and even now are usually five years. That’s because it takes time to learn an industry that you’ve never been in before. It takes time to build a client base. These are ways to build more stability for your future. Just remember, by being around others that have done what you’re trying to do. It shortens the learning curve and brings you to your final destination.

When the Universe Makes You Take a Vacation.

You are given some pretty incredible gifts. You reach out to someone who has come to mind to find out they needed your help. This is what makes this business very rewarding. It is the helping of people or fellow practitioners. Sometimes you will find that you’re helping your tribe that has a problem they don’t know how to solve. It makes all those classes that you were chasing down when you were trying to act normal and busy running from yourself.

Our world is changing and becoming more accepting and yet judgemental in other ways. This journey of finding out who we are and what we’re all about. This journey can be exciting one minute and scary the next. The forced vacations are about you and your clients. You will never be able to fully help your clients until you’re at your best. We as practitioners give to the point that we almost have nothing left to give. By taking time, to explore and play. We have more energy to bring to the table.

Nothing is more rewarding when a client or another practitioner tell you how much you helped them. This is not an easy journey. Sometimes it can feel like torture to focus on relaxing. It has become so foreign to us that we tend to feel guilty. Only other practitioners can understand the inner struggle. This time that we take for ourselves allows us a chance to explore and grow. It bring more inner calm back to the soul.

This is the gift we bring to our clients is the inner calm for their souls. Be it in a reading or a healing or both. These journeys are healing for both the client and the practitioner that help them grow more on a spiritual level. Be selfish and heal. This your time to rejuvenate.

A CAll For Help

It never fails that I get a call whenever I have down time. It wasn’t that long ago, that I decided to get more training. I had found mentors for my psychic medium gifts and how to handle ghosts. I had some pretty incredible experiences when I started my formal hands on healing classes. As time went on though, I got more challenging calls for help.

I felt it best to enroll in my MS in parapsychic science. I was encountering calls for help with possession and entity attachments and demonic entities. These were experiences that I never dreamed I’d face. To say I was less than thrilled would be an understatement. I viewed these experiences as very dangerous and not things that I wanted to face without proper training. When I told the school about the experiences that I was facing and training I was seeking.

This would eventually explain why I had a Shaman as one of my spirit guides. I remember thinking to myself, I don’t want to really learn shamanism. It turned out I was already learning the ways of a shaman all along. This brings in the healing element to the soul and spirit. Even the messages from my guides about how healers were not necessarily shamans. This is why I had the five guides. I have seen my guides put on war paint when time called for it. This journey has been a very growing experience. I can’t say that there haven’t been times when I was afraid and wanted to just walk away.

When your on this path, you can run but you can’t hide! Every time I’ve done my work with spirit. I’ve felt so over whelmed with emotion that words can’t even describe. It’s not about judging something or someone as good or evil. It is just about allowing things to just be! As I’m typing this I am having tears of emotion falling down my cheek. It is a healing experience for all involved. This is not a time for ego, ego has no place here.

Clients I Work With

I work with clients from all walks of life. I like to help my clients become empowered by taking back their personal power. That means that sometimes they take baby steps or giant steps at setting boundaries. They stop saying yes to things they really don’t want to do. They start to standup for themselves and allow themselves to voice how they feel or they stop taking calls from abusive people.

People who love drama and playing the starring role of the victim are not my clients. I am not about manipulative people. If you have an agenda, you can keep on walking.

I give homework to my clients. Yes, I said homework! If some of the issues you are dealing with require a Therapist. I fully encourage my clients to find one that fits them. Everyone at one time or another needs to see one to help them sort out Life! This in no way means your crazy. It means you need help finding the steps to regain control of your life at this moment. This is being REAL! Anyone that would judge a person for seeing a Therapist or a Psychic maybe needs to get a life of their own.

I will recommend a practitioner if they do a modality that I don’t do. If you mesh with that person great, if not that’s ok. I don’t take it personally. I just want my client to find a person that works for them.
