Detours Along The Way

Many people beat themselves up over not reaching their goals or destination in a certain time frame. This fast food world would have you believe that if you haven’t gotten to your goal that you’ve somehow failed. The thing is that life happens! Sometimes the focus is on keeping a roof over your head or maybe making sure your able to pay your bills. That doesn’t mean that you’ve abandoned your dreams or goals.

Many people still take baby steps at getting their dreams or goals accomplished. It is by planting those seeds that we finally get to the harvest season. It’s very much like priming a pump to bring up water. It’s all those small steps that will get us to our final destination. Sometimes, it’s about attending those networking events. It allows us to learn about more resources around us. Who can help or teach us about skills we will need to learn to make our goals more achievable. What can we farm out, or who can we exchange services with to help us with our journey to our goal.

These detours are not wasted time. They are paths that will help us build toward the next step we need to take on our journey to our final destination. Those side jobs might be helping us to network and build capital for the next phase in our businesses. Sometimes our skills are shared with those around us as a way to balance out our journey. Think of it as a test run to learn about your market place, your future customer. What are those needs? How to build your product better? How to price point it. Being able to see what a competitor brings to the table to allow you to make changes or rethink a product or service.

Meeting people who you wouldn’t normally meet as if by chance; acquiring knowledge that will help you with financial decisions and business models. This isn’t to say you couldn’t have learned it on your own, but the set backs are now minimal compared to what they might have been. It might also be about timing. Sometimes what we have to offer isn’t at the right time. Everything is very similar to planting a crop. There are seasons to everything, especially small businesses. Some small businesses have down times that need to be accounted for. These down times will prevent a steady income if not planned for properly. Next time your down on yourself, remember to look back at how far you’ve come. That also means not always surrounding yourself with people who’ve always played it safe by only working for others.

Apprenticeships in that past and even now are usually five years. That’s because it takes time to learn an industry that you’ve never been in before. It takes time to build a client base. These are ways to build more stability for your future. Just remember, by being around others that have done what you’re trying to do. It shortens the learning curve and brings you to your final destination.

All Roads Lead To Your Destination

I mention this because, some people are all about using vision boards, pinterest or making a list. It all works, there have been several times I’ve made a list of things that I wanted to create for my house? Neighborhood? and more! All of these have come to pass!

Crazy things like moving a meter in the house, changes in the neighborhood. Magic and the Universe are all around you. With people setting Goals for the New Year! The sky’s the limit. Anything you can imagine, you can create! So stop thinking small! You might want to go to places that make you feel happy and excited. It’s about changing how you feel and how you think! It’s very much like planting seeds! Make sure you keep this in mind. It will make it much more easier for you to bring it forward into your life.

One last thing, you still have to take action. What does that mean? It means you have to participate in your own life. When you get push back from the Universe pay attention. This will usually happen more than once. When that happens, pay attention? Is it trying to warn you that you might not what to put your money in the money market fund or bonds, stock? These are very real scenarios. Life isn’t all about logic!

If it appears that what you’ve put on your list hasn’t come forward yet. Don’t count it out just yet. It might be it’s no longer in alignment with who you are? It might be coming in an unexpected way. Also be open-minded, sometimes things on our list are gifts. Sometimes they will be provided in another way. If you life is in the shit hole, it might be because your about to get bigger and better changes coming into your life.

When you take action, it starts to get things moving. If you’re in a situation where you can’t take action. The situation will resolve itself in some way. You will either be removed from the situation or the other people or situation will be removed. If you’re not able to make a change. Look at your life and see where else your not happy. If by changing that situation, if your able too. It will start a domino effect and other things will start to change as well. These are the easiest ways to start to take back your power in your life.

The gifts can be quite humbling, but its whats needed for you to grow on a personal level. So write out what you’re trying to achieve or where you want to go. The map will be provided in time as you start to put one foot in front of the other on your own personal journey.

Practice, Practice

Today I got an up close reminder, as an empath and medical intuitive that the quos I get are practice in helping people. I have many times either felt or smelled things around people who are having medical issues. One person, I was working with today smelled of feces. I can only gather from that the person is having intestinal issues. I’ve felt blood clots or cancer in my throat when people are having those issues.

These are tied to my guides, who are healers and shamans. The shamanism part, I would have gone into kicking and screaming; had my guides not approached it the way that they did. I sort of got really small doses of different experiences so I didn’t put the shamanism part together right away. I have known when someone had brain cancer by their symptoms and had to tell them to see a neurologist right away. Only to learn that I was right and they only had a short time left.

For those of you healers and practitioners, who feel like your failing at your practice.  This is not a punishment, when you end up working a day job. It is to connect you with people who might not be able to afford your rates. It is to allow you to get more personal with people that need you. It makes you a better practitioner, it makes you more real and touchable. If you’re an empath, I get your pain. It is extremely hard to work around so many people and constantly feel their pain, negativity. It gets very over whelming.

I write this to give you some hope that you did not waste your time; taking the classes that you did to help people. This is about spirit helping us to re-connect again.

Cleaning Your Space

Most people dust and vaccuum their home and keep it clean. Some not so much? When you have different people in and out of your home and personal space. That energy become absorbed in your energy field and your home.  This energy can affect how people interact with you and opportunities that open or don’t open up to you.

Just like you would shower everyday. You might want to pay attention to the energy around you. Using real incense or a smudge bundle can help get rid of this energy. Pay attention to how your incense smells next time you burn it. If it smells sour for any reason you might want to start to burn a purifying incense or a sage bundle to purify your space.

When you burn your incense again after the purification. It should not smell sour. If it does, you have more clearing to do. Salt is a purifier as well.  You might want to put salt in a small container such as a votive container.  This will absorb any heavy or negative energy that has come in with you.

Going Within

There are many of us, who have no clue who we really are? We don’t know how life works for us. What do I mean by that? Well most of us have been surrounded by others and never had a moment to intimately get to know ourselves. If you’re an empath, this can be its own kind of hell. Picking up everyone’s shit. Thinking that your depressed when your picking up on the people who live with you. Having headaches that aren’t yours.

You might have no idea what I’m talking about. Everyone should be required to live by themselves to actually get to know themselves. This means finding out what stuff is really yours and what is not. What stuff is just bleeding off another and dumping onto you. One thing, that I’ve learned is that the things I used to think were mine. Were in fact someone elses. That means facing the dark side of yourself and giving it a great big wet one.

Society, likes to shove all their dogma down our throats as though it is a fact. When really it is a form of control and shaming. A way to make people feel like shit about themselves so they won’t stand up for themselves. Won’t have more self-confidence. Once you intimately get to know yourself. You will never go back.  You learn that those parts, that you’ve been told are un-loveable are really strengths that have yet to be accepted.

When you start to accept all of who you are? You will find that you are finally becoming a whole person. That part of yourself that you wanted to eliminate will stop having its tantrums; when you finally accept it and allow it to play in more healthy ways. Sounds like parenting a child! In a way, it very much is. Reading parenting books might sound crazy but if you want to win this war that will be your best course.

This will help you integrate your shadow side, it will allow you to get to know yourself without judgement. Everyone hates to be judged, the shadow is no different. Schedule time with yourself so that you can start to allow it to heal and play. Think you’re the only one that didn’t get the manual on how the world works for you. Trying to move forward when no doors or window will open up. Many will say it’s all about taking action. If you’ve already taken many actions. Then you might want to examine what area of your life hasn’t had attention for sometime.

This answer might be about getting out in nature. It might be about actually taking time to enjoy live instead of allowing it to pass you by. When was the last time you actually played. Play isn’t only for children. After all that demon that you call your shadow didn’t just come out of no where. It came from being ignored and suppressed because it’s not acceptable. It is part of you whether you like it or not. It will come out less with less drama when it’s allowed to play more.

Play also allows you to move forward when everything else has been tried. Especially when your stuck tight and not knowing what you’re doing wrong. Play can be playing ball, listening to music, playing musical instruments. Writing, drawing or even painting. When we get out of balance our lives can suddenly seem like its hitting the pavement.

Most of us, were never taught what balance is? We only start to realize its out of control, when it starts to take on a life of its own. This is why the key is to get to know yourself so you can try to steer your life in the direction you want it to go.

Trying New Things?

There is nothing wrong with trying new things as long as it’s not triggering anxiety. If you’re trying something way out of your comfort zone. You might want to evaluate if it’s just the learning curve or if there financial risk that’s associated with it.

If you already have the foundation in place that’s one thing. If you don’t have any of the skill sets and its unfamiliar territory. Maybe its time to take a step back and not venture into this venture.

Trying new things should never cause severe anxiety attacks. If it does your not on the right track. Always listen to your inner guidance. It’s there for a reason. New things, should give you excitement or a calmness. These are internal gauges to know if your just spreading your wings a bit.

The advice from many books about, how if you don’t understand something. Don’t invest in it is a very wise one. If your going to try something out of your comfort zone, do it in baby steps. This way with each step you are building your confidence and not jumping off a cliff. There are so many ways we each can grow as a person each day. This growth can come in learning, reading or experiencing something new.

Make a list and mark it one through ten. One being easy or in your personal comfort zone. Ten being a bit of a stretch for you. The tenth one might be broken down into bite size pieces until can accomplish it with ease.

The Demise of the Corporate Economy

More businesses are very short-sighted when it comes to running their organizations. They are all about the quick buck. They don’t think long-term, They are using technology like it has all the answers without using any common sense. It’s like using a hammer to cut wood instead of a saw. Here’s the thing, different parts of the organization need to use different tools. These metrics serve no purpose when they aren’t being used correctly.

There is no margin calculated in for problems or errors in these formulas. Which can lead to wrong decision-making, planning and budgeting. There is this fast food mentality when it comes to metrics. No one is taking the time to use these tools correctly or with responsibility. It’s as though the main purpose is to suck the fun and life out of the process of a task.

Any error in these processes is met with severe consequences. These big organizations are trying to be something they aren’t. They try to act as though they’re open to new ideas or change but only on their time schedule. This is why small businesses will prevail. They don’t treat their employees like machines. They don’t jump on the latest toys. They know that people make mistakes and there can be errors and they figure them into the equation.

Large corporations are too busy running every part of their organization as though it’s an assembly line. This  model doesn’t work for accounting, IT or other parts of an organization. It’s insane and it doesn’t make any sense. You will have high turnover, unhappy employees who are burned out quickly. Lack of idea sharing because of how their treated.

Large companies try to save money by using tools that are designed for small businesses. Instead of using the tools that were designed for larger corporations. This causes the tools to bog down and work efficiently. These companies can go to the other side of the spectrum and use dangerous software which can compromise the organization with malware.

These are the same organizations throwing money at the politicians in elections. Is it any wonder our economy and government is a mess.
