The Sounds In Your House

Did you just hear your cat jump on something? Only to realize that your cat is sleeping right next to you? Well it could be that cat that is long deceased. After all just because they’re dead, doesn’t mean they aren’t still around. They’re just missing a body. Tis the season as all Hallows Eve is getting closer, and the veil between the living and the dead is getting thinner and thinner.

Just remember it isn’t just old houses that can have hauntings! Barns, new houses and even your car! After all nothing is off limits! When spirits are near and far. After all they all want to say Hi from time to time! Spirit will and it does! That creeking upstairs when no one is there? At least not in a body that is! That strong smell of nail polish, that your aunts friend wore so well.

Just because their body is missing and they can’t have spirits any more; doesn’t mean they’ve forgotten what it’s like to party. Now that they’ve become Spirits once more. So pull out the cider, the non-alcoholic kind of course. After all your mind doesn’t need more imagination to run with. Break out the incense and set up those boundaries, have a talk with your ghosts and ghouls from the heart of course.

Say Hi to Aunt Sally,  wish her well for dropping by. Oh and ask that the next time she comes, she be a little more quiet. As I’m typing this, I’m almost certain this laptop is possessed. So here’s to wishing everyone a great Halloween and Samhain.

Mini-Vacations For The Parents

Yesterday, was pretty funny. I watched all the kids get loaded onto the buses to go to school. Their was no holiday for them. If the parents were lucky enough to have it off. All they had to do was get the kids ready for school and then go back to sleep and enjoy the quiet.

These mini vacations are lovely for the parents to get small breaks from the kids. I hope you actually got to enjoy it. Me, I watched in disbelief as the buses were waiting for those kids to get on board. It was pretty quiet in the neighborhood. This is a complete reverse from what I’m used to. Usually the kids get all these days off and the parents have to work most of them.

Maybe it’s part of making up for all those school days the kids had off because of all that bad weather earlier this year?

Taking Time for Yourself

Oh how busy we get, we make time for everyone but ourselves. Get out your planner, be it on your phone or an actual paper planner. Be sure to pencil in the most important meeting you have with yourself. Pull out those movies you have yet to watch? Rent or check them out of the library. The library is our best equalizer for us. You can stream a movie, check out a movie or book.

Be sure to get out bath salts to help you detox from all of lifes stresses. Not your thing? Then get a spa package or massage session. Turn off the phones, so that no one will desturb your you time! Drink in the quiet! Find the things that will empower you. This is about building the best you there can be!

For some of us this is about spending time with the people that are most important to us. Be very selfish with your time, when you do this! Don’t let anything interrupt your time with the things or people that are most important to you.

Don’t allow time thieves to steal any of your precious time. You can’t get that time back. Go out into a park or your back yard and just drink in the nature experience. The smells, and the sounds that mark the different seasons. Fall brings in the very earthy smells, the smell of wet leaves and rich soil. The sound of loud cracks of thunder and the streak of lightning across the sky.

So be sure to enjoy your time alone or with others. This is your journey to exploring who you really are? Are you who people expect you to be or are you really a quiet person or a rebel?

Enjoy your jouney to exploring who you are?
